Field of Schemes
Our community must stand together against Northwestern’s latest cash grab.
Northwestern demands 10 mega-concerts every summer with a capacity of 35,000 (more than the United Center), unlimited commercial events of up to 10,000, and alcohol sales—all exempt from property taxes.
Northwestern refuses to pay its fair share to address problems that we as a community are working to solve, like affordable housing and underfunded public schools.
Meanwhile, Northwestern makes up to $100 million a year on football from its new Big 10 media deal and wants to spend almost $1 billion dollars on a new stadium.
Don't let the university divide us with assurances that sound too good to be true.
Don’t get tricked by their claim that they’re giving us something for nothing.
Don't let this powerful and wealthy corporation steamroll our government.
